Born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, moved to
Florida in 1964 at the age of 15. Raised a family then attended
graphic art school. Tried advertising with an advertising agency,
but realized she did not belong in this field. Karen discovered that
her first love was the beauty that God had created around her.
Whether it's the quiet beauty of a mother and child, the exotic
beauty of a jungle creature, or the beauty of the love that someone
has for their pet she felt that it had to be captured in her
artwork.
She has gained notoriety in several newspapers
and has been commissioned for murals, portraits, and landscapes. Her
work was recently displayed in the Atlanta Decor Expo. Her work is
also currently on display at "Fun N' Frames", a gallery in
Dunedin.
Karen is represented by Jaye R. Abbey of Abbey
Fine Art in Tampa, Florida.
"Our world is so full of life and if I can
capture a small portion of that life and bring joy and happiness
into someone's life then I will have accomplished my life's goal and
used my God given talent."
